An Offset Resurgence at In-plants?

Offset printing is making big headlines. The January issue of IPG has three different stories about in-plants that have just added four-color offset presses.

• Penn State recently installed a brand new four-color, 23×29˝ Ryobi 764E press.
• Illinois Wesleyan University Publications, Printing and Mailing Services added a four-color Ryobi 3304HA press, part of a major shop upgrade that also includes new digital color and black-and-white equipment and a new CTP system.
• Columbia College's Mail, Imaging & Print Services department put in a Presstek 34DI-E direct imaging offset press.
