Drawing record high attendance, Avanti Computer Systems Ltd, developer of solutions for print shop automation, held its 26th Avanti User Group Conference last week in Nashville, Tenn. Attendees chose from the Avanti Classic track or the Avanti Slingshot track where they heard from Avanti executives, integration partners, and successful industry colleagues who are Avanti users. Opportunities for networking and enjoying the Nashville entertainment scene ensured a memorable event for all participants.
“This is our largest event yet," proclaimed Kevin Shaw, director of Marketing and Partners at Avanti. "It’s fantastic to see how open our user group is; new customers sharing ideas and collaborating with long-time customers."
Presentations about Avanti’s strategic direction and vision, and a multi-year roadmap for Avanti Slingshot generated excitement from the attendees. Customer shared best practices for growth and profitability, automation and touchless workflows.
During the customer roundtables the focus was on marketing service providers, commercial printers, large/grand format, print & mail, and in-plant market segments and how they will evolve in the future.
“The thing we are most happy about is that Avanti listens, takes suggestions and work towards those goals. We have confidence that they are working with us to deliver on the changes we want to make,” said Kurt Ellinger, co-founder of Print Resources.
A dedicated “Ask the Experts” area was available throughout the conference to allow attendees to ask technical questions about specific topics, resolve issues or discuss new ideas and implementation. Karen Meyers, business manager at Michigan Farm Bureau Printing Services, found this especially valuable, commenting, “All my questions were answered. Well worth the price of admission.”
“The User Group Conference gave me even more practical messages and a half-dozen project ideas to implement when I get back,” said David Warner, software administrator at the State of Oregon.
Spotlight presentations were given by Avanti integration partners including Enfocus, PageDNA, XMPie, BCC Software, Avalara, Nextec and HP. The recently announced agreement under which Avanti will market, sell and support Enfocus products in Canada and the United States was also highlighted.
Plans are underway for the 2021 Avanti User Group Conference, and for those who can’t wait, Avanti is launching an “Ask The Experts” roadshow next year. Avanti experts will travel to various destinations throughout North America to meet with regional users in a one-day deep dive session to answer all Avanti Classic and Avanti Slingshot questions. Stay tuned for more.
