Cedarville University's Tammy Slone Joins edu Business Solutions
Tammy Slone, who recently retired as director Postal and Print Services and the Campus Store at Cedarville University, has joined San Diego-based edu Business Solutions as director of customer relationship management.
Slone brings more than 31 years of experience in the in-plant industry, starting as Cedarville’s Copy Center manager in 1995 and expanding her role over the years. She brought numerous improvements to the in-plant over the years, including the recent addition of contour cutting, flatbed printing, and engraving capabilities.
A long-time advocate for operational excellence, Slone has consistently championed innovation, collaboration, and service to drive the in-plant community forward. Her leadership has earned national recognition, including multiple accolades from the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA), where she also serves on the board of directors.
Slone has been part of the edu customer community since 2008, leveraging edu’s full suite of products including Print Shop Pro, Print Shop Pro Mail, Smart Track Pro, and Design Conductor. Her real-world use case and product feedback has helped shape the evolution of Print Shop Pro as well as contributed to the development of new products such as edu’s Smart Track Pro package and mail tracking system. Her experience uniquely positions her to lead customer success across the product suite.
“Tammy has helped influence the development of our products for years. We’re thrilled to now have her on the inside, leading the charge in helping customers succeed with every aspect of our platform,” says Mike Strand, edu’s co-founder and CEO.
As director of customer relationship management, Slone will oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing support for all edu Business Solutions products. She will work directly with customers to ensure smooth rollouts, optimize operations, and provide expert guidance on pricing, marketing, and workflow strategy. Her efforts will drive long-term success with Print Shop Pro and beyond.
“Transitioning to edu Business Solutions after being in the in-plant industry for 31 years is a natural transition,” says Slone. “As a customer since 2008, I’ve been a fan of edu, and the customer service experience has been the best of any of my vendors. I’m excited to work for a company that really wants to provide best-in-class software and support to the in-plant community. Leaving Cedarville was a big decision. Leaving to work with edu made the decision a little more palatable. I’m excited to get to work and continue serving the in-plant community with edu.”
