Government Printers Head to New Orleans
On Sunday, the 33rd annual National Government Publishing Association conference will kick off in New Orleans. Though attendance is expected to be down from last year due to economy-related travel restrictions, the organizers at the Louisiana Office of State Printing have a full schedule planned.
The three days of sessions will cover topics like getting your organization’s management to understand the value of your in-plant; using the economic meltdown to your advantage; how in-plants can achieve strategic relevance; finding your shop’s secret ingredient; and spicing up your marketing campaigns.
IPG Editor Bob Neubauer will review the major news in the in-plant industry over the past year. During his talk he will debut a video documenting last year's NGPA conference in Belleview, Wash., as well as another new video showing highlights of PRINT 09.
A session on Disaster Recovery will be followed by a tour of some of the most devastated sites in the city's lower 9th Ward as well as a look at the progress that has been made to rebuild the city. The group will also visit a Habitat for Humanity home sponsored by Kodak.
Watch for a story on the conference in a coming issue of In-Plant Graphics.
