On Monday morning, the judging of the In-Print 2015 contest will begin at IPMA headquarters, in Kearney, Mo., outside of Kansas City. Of the 400+ entries, 60 percent were printed on toner or inkjet devices, and just 40 percent on offset presses, a big shift from just a few years ago when offset printing dominated the contest.
Sponsored by both IPG and the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association, In-Print 2015 is the only national printing contest exclusively for in-plants. This year's lineup of judges, for the first time, will feature more women than men, and include three new judges:
- Tammy Dunham, Nestle Purina PetCare
- Erica Derrington, Olathe Public Schools
- Andrea McConnaughey, assistant professor at Pittsburg State University
- Christopher Donlon, Kohler Corp.
- Mike Lincoln, State of Colorado
IPG Editor Bob Neubauer and IPMA Executive Director Carma Goin will be on hand to oversee the judging. Neubauer will also video the selection of the Best of Show winners. This video will be shown during the IPMA awards banquet in June to reveal the two Best of Show winners (offset and non-offset).
