Intec has released the SC7800 Pro-RS XL, a B2-format digital cutter and creaser designed for automated sheet finishing applications. The system integrates cutting and double-sided tangential creasing in a single unit, supporting production workflows that require precision creasing and contour cutting without the use of traditional dies.
The SC7800 Pro-RS XL features a patent-pending opposing male and female tangential creasing system, capable of delivering up to 2,500gf of creasing force. It can process media up to 450 microns thick, including paper, board, and synthetic substrates.
The machine operates at cutting speeds up to 1,060 mm/second and includes automated feeding, job retrieval, and registration functions. QR-code driven automation and SmartMark registration are designed to support consistent alignment across print jobs. A high-capacity auto feeder enables unattended processing of up to 1,000 sheets in sizes up to 520 x 740 mm, including mixed-job runs.
The SC7800 Pro-RS XL uses a triple-tool hybrid design combining elements of flatbed, sheet-fed, tangential creasing, contour cutting, and die-based technologies. This configuration allows operators to digitally cut and crease custom shapes directly from printed artwork, reducing setup time and eliminating the need for physical cutting dies.
Applications include packaging prototypes, folder production, press proof finishing, and point-of-sale display materials.
