After serving as Deputy Public Printer of the Government Printing Office (GPO) since December 2011, when outgoing Public Printer Bill Boarman appointed her to the role, Davita Vance-Cooks is finally getting her official nomination to take over the top spot at GPO. Yesterday, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate Vance-Cooks as the 27th Public Printer of the United States, where she will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the Government Printing Office, the first woman to hold this position. The nomination must be approved by the Senate.
