Retired Manager Wants to Help Other In-plants
A retired in-plant manager wants to give something back to his fellow managers: his advice.
After 42 years in the printing industry, Wayne Guiney, former manager of Office Services at Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG) in Toronto, is offering to help any in-plant manager with an urgent need for advice. Managers in a bind, who need to make a quick decision, are welcome to contact him for his advice—no strings attached.
"For 42 years, I've toiled in graphics/print and related services mostly in-plants within government/education agencies," he says. "Through all of these years, I kept pace with changing trends in market growth, financial highs/lows, human resource management, technology advancements and Web evolution into the print world.
"Managing these services spans 35 of my 42 years in the business, and now that I am retired, I find myself looking for opportunities to keep in touch with the print world," he continues. "To that end, I would extend to all in-plant management peers the invitation to contact me for insights and discussion on management issues big or small."
