Sakurai Open House Next Week
Sakurai will mark its 65th year in business and 20th anniversary as a U.S. corporation with a summer Open House and Vendor Tradefair next Thursday. The latest offset and screen press technologies will be on display all day August 12, from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, at Sakurai's headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill.
Throughout the day, Sakurai press crews will be conducting fast make ready demonstrations and quick plate changes on a 16,000-iph, four-color, 20x26˝ Sakurai 466SDC offset press with coater and a four-color Sakurai 466 press using Mitsubishi Imaging polyester plates.
A highlight of the Open House is the first U.S. showing of the new Sakurai Maestro 102SD Servo Driven, optimal registration Cylinder Screen Press equipped with a Natgraph UV curing unit running special demonstrations on MacDermid Autotype plastics using Sun Chemical inks. The revolutionary design of the 29½x43¼˝ Maestro is ideal for extremely accurate screen printing applications such as cosmetic packaging, membrane switches, integrated circuit applications and more.
In addition to offset and screen press demonstrations, Sakurai will present special plate demonstrations and a series of seminars designed to help customers be more competitive. Seminars to be presented include cast & cure; high opaque UV curable inks and coatings; and high-speed automated screen printing on specialty substrates for the electronics and overlay markets.
