Spiral Binding LLC, a Totowa, N.J.-based manufacturer and distributor of print finishing, graphic arts, and presentation products, including the James Burn line of punching and wire-binding products, will raise its prices in July according to a letter to customers from CEO Douglas Nash.
“Despite our best efforts to control our costs, post-March 1st, Spiral continues to experience significant inflation from raw materials and finished goods to transportation and operational expenses,” Nash wrote in an email. “The pace and magnitude of these market cost increases are truly unprecedented. While Spiral is currently absorbing these increased costs, we are committed to holding our current level of customer pricing until July 1st, 2021. We want our customers to have a guaranteed period of stable prices. As the July 1st price increase approaches, we will communicate details about the products impacted.
“We understand how difficult inflation is to manage and hope by pushing back our price increase it affords you more time to plan and prepare for the impact on your business. Spiral is committed to finding efficiencies and alternatives to remove costs from our supply chain. We expect these efforts, combined with improvements in the larger economy, could eventually return pricing to lower levels down the road.”
