TACUP Brings 40 Managers to Lubbock
Wrapping up a busy fall season of in-plant events, the Texas Association of College and University Printers held its conference last week in Lubbock, teaming up this year with the Southwest Association of College and University Mail Services. About 40 print and mail managers mingled, got acquainted via “speed networking,” toured Texas Tech's in-plants, visited a very active vendor showroom and attended presentations.
The highlight (other than the murder mystery dinner) seems to have been Peter Muir’s enthusiastic three-hour keynote in which he offered managers ideas to drive positive change in their business. Also notable: Jimmy Friend, retired director of the University of North Texas' award-winning in-plant, showed up to do a presentation on mail and print transformation.
