In-plant managers are hitting the PRINTING United Expo 2026 show floor in Las Vegas this week with plenty of ground to cover and a long list of technologies to investigate. Apparel decorating and wide-format equipment are certainly turning heads, but many managers are zeroing in on the latest toner and inkjet production presses, looking for greater automation, broader media flexibility, and new ways to expand their capabilities so they can deliver more value to their organizations.
Numerous vendors are debuting production devices at the show. Xerox is launching two cut-sheet inkjet presses, one of them boasting 300-ppm speeds. Sharp is showing a 100-ppm color production press featuring CMYK+ specialty toner. Konica Minolta is debuting a digital label printer with IQ-530 intelligent automation. And Kyocera is demonstrating a new monochrome inkjet press that delivers 3 million images a month. There is a lot for in-plant managers to see here.
"If their focus is to drive improvements in their environment, to try to automate, to drive efficiency and productivity, there's such a plethora of smaller companies that are available here that can offer some genuine insights," observes Lucy Perez-Sierra, senior manager of product strategy with Canon USA.
Here’s a quick look at some of the new production printing devices we spotted on the Expo floor.
The new Xerox Proficio PX700 FLX press runs 120 ppm, boasting intelligent automation and up to six inline colors, including new fluorescent green toner. This brings an expanded color gamut and unlocks profitable new opportunities for in-plants. Also new is the Xerox Proficio Jet CS1100 B3 cut-sheet inkjet press, which delivers up to 300 ppm. It produces exceptional image quality, and offers media flexibility.
Sharp Electronics is previewing the 100-ppm BP-1000S color production press. It offers CMYK+ specialty toner, real-time image quality automation, and media versatility to help in-plants create premium applications and expand capabilities. Sharp is also previewing an 85-ppm color multifunctional press, the BP-850S. It features CMYK+ specialty toner, real-time image quality automation, and versatile media support, helping print providers create premium applications in a smaller footprint.
For in-plants getting into the lucrative sticker and label market, Konica Minolta is launching the AccurioLabel 231, which features IQ-530 intelligent automation, real-time color registration correction, and enhanced color stability. It offers 2,400 dpi resolution, reduced waste, and longer maintenance cycles. Also at the booth is the AccurioPress C5080. Supporting media up to 360 gsm, long-sheet printing, and extensive inline finishing options, it uses intelligent automation and delivers high-quality output, application versatility, and productivity in a compact footprint.
Kyocera is here showing off two new additions to its production inkjet portfolio, the TASKalfa Pro Tandem and the TASKalfa Pro 15000b. The latter is a monochrome press that runs at 172 ipm and delivers up to 3 million images a month. It offers an ink calculator for monitoring and estimating costs. The TASKalfa Pro Tandem is a dual-engine production inkjet printer that reaches speeds up to 292 ppm.
Canon USA is featuring inkjet, toner, and wide-format printers in its booth, the largest on the show floor. Making its official debut is the imagePRESS V900 II color digital press, with print speeds up to 90 letter ppm. Building on the robust foundation established by the imagePRESS V900, this latest evolution delivers enhanced durability, stable image quality, and optimized serviceability to help drive production for light- to mid- sized print establishments. On the inkjet side, both the web-fed ColorStream 7000 and cut-sheet varioPRINT iX1700 inkjet presses are here, with the new varioPRESS iV7 featured in a virtual display. The ColorStream 7000 is designed for high-volume transactional, book, and direct mail printing. It handles up to 7 million feet monthly at speeds up to 417 ft./min. with 600 dpi resolution. The varioPRINT iX1700 is a B3+ sheetfed inkjet press combining offset-quality output with digital flexibility. Featuring Canon Qualinx technology and 2,400 dpi resolution, it supports productive low- to mid-volume environments while expanding opportunities for high-quality digital print applications.
Riso is highlighting its MICRXpress, which combines full-color inkjet and MICR printing in one system. Using RISO ComColor technology, it prints simplex or duplex documents while applying MICR ink only where needed, enabling cost-effective check production on ordinary perforated white paper.
Ricoh has a range of equipment on hand, from the small-format Auto Color Adjuster to the mighty Pro VC80000 continuous-feed inkjet printer. One focus for in-plants is the Ricoh Pro C7500 with a 5th Color Station, which was also on display at the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association conference in June. It features advanced automation and specialty toners including neon pink, gold, silver, and invisible red. It can run specialty stocks, synthetics, oversized sheets and magnetic media on paper weights from 40 to 470 gsm. The 320-ipm VALEZUS T2200 inkjet printer is also in the Riso booth, using heatless imaging technology to produce cold, flat and dry output.
Fujifilm is showing off the complete REVORIA PRESS Production Toner portfolio featuring the new REVORIA PRESS PC2120 production press with advanced automation, AI-assisted image optimization tools, powerful production efficiencies, and expanded CMYK+ for embellishment capabilities. With specialty toner options including Green and Pink, metallic Gold and Silver, White, Clear and Textured Clear effects, the PC2120 enables printers to create tactile, attention-grabbing applications while streamlining makeready, reducing manual touchpoints, improving consistency, and supporting more efficient, lower-waste digital production.
Printware is unveiling two additions to its iJetColor portfolio: the iJetColor 1275 Pro and iJetColor 1175 Pro + PXG. The latter combines high-speed envelope production with expanded short-run packaging capabilities using an integrated PXG feeding system. Powered by HP’s next-generation 108mm TIJ 4.0 printhead technology, the iJetColor 1275 Pro features a four-color CMYK print bar engineered to deliver high-precision, full-color envelope printing at production speeds of up to 30,000 #10 envelopes per hour. Also at the Printware booth, the iJetColor Q industrial thermal inkjet system uses the same printhead technology to print up to 20,000 #10 envelopes per hour.
