The 47th annual Association of College & University Printers conference has come to a close. Nearly 100 in-plant managers from 70 universities met in Harrisburg, Pa., recently for two days of educational sessions, followed by a trip to Lewisburg to tour Bucknell University's in-plant and see its Xerox Color 800 press in action. This was followed by a special screening of the documentary Linotype, The Film at The Campus Theatre.

Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 170 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.
Anyone who has ever attended an Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference knows what an exciting event it can be. The camaraderie of attendees combined with the quality of the sessions make this one of the premier in-plant events of the year.
The UK University Print Manager’s Group conference drew 55 delegates from all over the world to the Imperial Hotel in Torquay, Devonshire, in the south west coast of England. The program consisted of sessions by members.
After its cancellation last year due to low registration numbers, the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference was back with a vengeance this year. Attendees this year hailed from as far away as Australia, New Zealand and Scotland, and included managers from all over the U.S., from Oregon to New Hampshire, with a large contingent from Texas.

The enthusiasm at the recent Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference was higher than ever, as the group convened for the first time in two years. The cancellation of last year's conference was all but forgotten by the 45 in-plant managers who gathered in sunny Charlotte, N.C., for more than three days of fellowship and education. The smaller size of the group made it easy to meet all of the attendees and find out about their operations.
I JUST got back from a coast-to-coast excursion that took me from San Francisco to Boston. I flew out to California in mid-April to attend the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference. The event was packed with more than 130 in-plant attendees from 33 states and four other countries. It was wonderful to see so much interaction between managers from such geographically diverse places as New Zealand, Mississippi, Alaska, Scotland, Maine and Florida, to name a few. Attendees fell easily into conversation about their mutual challenges, sharing stories and laughs as if they had been friends for years. ACUP was very well run,
