Chuck Brantley

Cory Francer is an analyst at NAPCO Research. He formerly served as editor-in-chief of Packaging Impressions.

Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 170 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.

After crunching the numbers, Chuck Brantley says investing in a digital envelope press was a “no-brainer.” Ringling College of Art & Design was outsourcing its bulk mail, incurring annual costs of $12,000. Seeing an immediate opportunity to save money by bringing this outsourced bulk mailing in-house, Brantley acquired a Xanté Impressia digital printing system.

IT'S CONFERENCE season again, which means that in between writing and editing articles for this issue, I've been dashing off to in-plant events around the country. In the past two weeks I've been to two in-plant meetings (plus the On Demand Show) and talked with dozens of managers about what's happening in their shops.
