Tacoma Public Schools’ in-plant been deluged with work since the district's schools closed due to COVID-19 and students were told to stay home. To help in their education, the in-plant was tasked with printing millions of impressions of curriculum packets in a very short time.

In the first round, the in-plant printed 13,000 curriculum packets, totaling 1.8 million impressions. Round two was even larger: 44,000 packets, totaling 3.8 million impressions. And there are just as many more to come.

“This is all extremely out of the norm for us,” Manager Mike Griswold told IPI. “Our yearly volumes are usually like 15 million or so. And at the end of May we’ll probably have about 10 million in about two months. For us that’s extraordinary.”
