The first in-plant conference of the year is less than three months away. On March 29, higher-ed and K-12 in-plant managers will meet in Dallas for the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) conference. As in years past, it will feature educational sessions, keynote presentations, a vendor display area, and a tour of a local in-plant. But the most valuable perk of attending will be the opportunity to meet and network with dozens of fellow in-plant managers from all over the country.
At ACUP+ 2025, Justin Van Nest of Oklahoma City Community College broke down printing terminology, processes, best practices, and pricing models.
This year’s keynote speakers will be Mark Fallon of The Berkshire Group, talking about how to create and maintain a successful team; and Bob Neubauer, editor of In-plant Impressions, who will reveal the findings from a new research study showing how in-plants are transforming to stay vital and valuable.
Educational sessions will be broken into three tracks focusing on printing operators, management, and mail. Sessions will cover topics like preparing print-ready files, sticker production, wide-format, strategic planning, marketing, team training, mailpiece design, modernizing package tracking, VDP, USPS promotions, and much more.
On the third day of the conference, attendees will tour Richardson Independent School District’s in-plant. They will also be able to try their hands at various wrapping and heat pressing techniques. Capping the day will be the ACUP Awards ceremony and gala dinner.
Early bird registration closes January 9. Get more details on ACUP+ 2026 here.
