The In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) announced that the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), the country’s largest in-plant, will host IPMA’s first 2026 Road Show on March 19 in Washington, D.C. This will be a full day mini-conference, open to all in-plants, not just IPMA members. It will feature educational sessions, a look at emerging technology, networking, and an exclusive tour of the GPO.
Registration closes March 12. To register, visit www.ipma.org/ipma-road-show-GPO .
One highlight of the event will be an in-depth industry outlook by Lisa Cross, principal analyst with Alliance Research, part of PRINTING United Alliance, in which she will discuss in-plant trends in inkjet, wide-format, and artificial intelligence.
Also on the docket, Katelin Shanks of Racami will highlight 10 red flags every print shop should catch when choosing a software vendor; Bryan Matlock of Ricoh will discuss how innovation drives success; and Jay Kroll of General Formulations will delve into substrates beyond just paper. GPO Director Hugh Nathaniel Halpern will also be on hand to welcome attendees.
The day will include a vendor fair, lunch and a tour of GPO’s facility, including a look at its arsenal of inkjet presses and its new eight-color Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 X LED UV offset press, recently highlighted by IPI.
“We are so excited to kick off our 2026 Road Shows at the U.S. Government Publishing Office,” says IPMA Executive Director Mike Loyd. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to network and tour such a historic site. I hope if you’re in the D.C. area, you’ll bring your staff. All Road Shows are free thanks to our vendor community, and all in-plants are invited to attend, IPMA members or not. See you in Washington.”
IPMA has several other Road Shows planned for 2026 and will release dates and locations soon.
