The In-plant Printing and Mailing Association has announced that its 2021 Virtual Conference and Vendor Fair will take place June 7-18.

This will be the second year in a row that both the ACUP+ and IPMA conferences will not take place in person. For regular attendees of those in-plant gatherings, that is a really long time to go without the inspiration and fresh ideas that come from getting together with peers.

IPI Editor Bob Neubauer will address attendees of the virtual Association of College and University Printers conference in April as a keynote speaker. He will tap into recent IPI research and conversations with higher-ed in-plants during the pandemic to provide an overview of how in-plants are faring.

From April 20 - 23, 2021, virtual.drupa will feature a free program focusing on the global trends of Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy, Connected Consumer and Platform Economy.

The cancellation of the IPMA conference is a tough blow for in-plants, who rely on that event as an opportunity to network with fellow managers. IPMA is taking steps to ease that isolation with several upcoming initiatives.

Back in the fall, with COVID-19 vaccines on the horizon, it seemed entirely possible that the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association conference could take place as planned in June. But as the new year unfolded, and the reality of a sluggish vaccine rollout became apparent, suddenly June didn’t seem so far away.
