xpedx and Unisource Worldwide have chosen the name Veritiv for the leading distribution solutions company that will be created upon completion of their merger. The company will introduce its new brand/logo immediately after the transaction closing, which is expected early in the third quarter of 2014.

MEMPHIS, TN—International Paper announced it is in talks with Norcross, GA-based Unisource regarding a proposed business combination of xpedx, International Paper's distribution business, and Unisource. Both xpedx and Unisource are business-to-business distributors of printing, packaging and facility supplies.

PaperPlus, the stores division of Unisource Worldwide, has opened a new store location in Kansas City, KS. The new PaperPlus store, located at 9219 Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS, is set to open early April.
