Last week in Rochester, NY, Xerox held a two-day in-plant executive summit that brought together scores of in-plant managers.

Production inkjet printing may have been an up-and-coming technology a few years ago, but today it’s a proven, profitable market that’s bringing big success to those printers wise enough to take advantage of it.

The Digital Printing in Government and Higher-Ed Conference, hosted by In-plant Graphics, drew in-plant managers from universities, local governments and other organizations around the country.

Xerox has invested nearly $35 million into an expansion project for its EA toner production plant. The expansion is expected to increase Xerox's toner capacity by 40 percent.

Several companies debuted wide-format products this week at FESPA, a global exhibition for wide-format digital, screen and textile print, held in Cologne, Germany. EFI, Xerox and HP were among the companies showing off new technology.

Several in-plant managers trekked to Washington, DC last week for the debut Digital Printing in Government & Higher-Ed Conference, hosted by In-plant Graphics. Many attendees have since expressed their appreciation for the day-long conference.
