At PRINTING United Expo, we sat down with Christina McDonald of Seminole County Public Schools to talk about her in-plant’s recent bindery upgrades, its growing wide-format business, creative school graphics projects the team produced, and how attending the Expo inspired new ideas and learning opportunities for her entire staff.
She described how new equipment like the Duplo DC-618 slitter/cutter/creaser and Revo Flex laminator have streamlined production, and how her shop’s wide-format work—now accounting for up to a quarter of annual revenue—has transformed school environments through colorful wall wraps and window graphics. McDonald also highlighted her team’s hands-on approach to learning, including installing graphics themselves, promoting their services with creative giveaways, and involving the entire staff in exploring new technology at the Expo to bring fresh ideas back to the operation.
