ACUP Starts Sunday
In-plant managers from 25 states and the U.K. will begin arriving in Minneapolis tomorrow for the 48th annual Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference. The states with the most representation will be California, Connecticut, Illinois and Texas, each with six managers registered—and, course, Minnesota, with nine managers coming from five schools.
Hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato, and Gustavus Adolphus College, ACUP will feature a full agenda of educational sessions, including a keynote titled “If Printers Ruled the World,” by Tom de Ranitz, founder of Forte Consulting, and another keynote by Ken Macro, of California Polytechnic State University, about the challenges graphic communications programs face.
Other ACUP sessions will focus on employee motivation, best practices, institutional branding, copier fleet management, digital bindery solutions, Web-to-print software, mail basics and copyright.
Check IPG's homepage next week for an update on the conference along with photos.
Words can't properly capture the excitement of ACUP, so perhaps these IPG videos of past conferences can convey just a hint of what it will be like:
