Avanti Holds Users Group Conference, Announces Revenue Increase
Last week in Toronto, Avanti Computer Systems held its annual User Group conference, with the goal of providing actionable steps that users of Avanti’s MIS systems could take back to their companies and implement. Sessions at the four-day event focused on individual modules, client data collection, how others are using Avanti technology and much more. Avanti President Patrick Bolan provided a keynote address and an update on Avanti Slingshot technology, its cloud-based Print MIS software.
Avanti announced this week that its year-to-date revenues are up 13.1 percent. The company attributes its success in part to the release of Avanti Slingshot. Launched in 2013, Avanti Slingshot won a coveted “Must See 'ems” award at PRINT 13. Avanti Slingshot incorporates business intelligence, production planning (estimating, imposition, automated purchasing, sales orders, inventory management and scheduling), warehousing, shipping and billing into system.
“I am no longer a bottleneck when it comes to estimating,” declared Cathy Skoglund manager of Operations & Business Development at Arizona State University's Print & Imaging Lab. “Because the platform is cloud-based, I have experienced freedom from my desk and can easily create estimates while traveling. We can deliver more jobs without hiring more people and know with 100 percent certainty what our job costs are."
“We are very encouraged by the extremely positive response that we are getting from the market for Avanti Slingshot,” declared Bolan. “We continue to help printers move beyond print and have developed a platform that can support their multiple lines of business including conventional and digital print, large-format, mailing, data management, marketing services and fulfillment.”
Avanti will celebrate its 30th anniversary in September, and expects to continue its growth trajectory.
