Boosting Your Wide-format Business (Free Webinar Now Available On-demand)
In the "Kicking Your Wide-Format Business Into High Gear" Webinar presented this week by Printing Impressions and In-plant Graphics magazines, and sponsored by Xerox, more than 400 registrants were presented with the latest InfoTrends research on wide-format digital printing. They also learned about key market trends and how to align production and business realities with market potential across a number of vertical markets.
Presenters included Barbara Pellow, group director at InfoTrends; and Eli Reuveni, SEO of Rubin Rid Ltd., based in Tel Aviv. Pellow presented some key findings from the InfoTrends study. She noted that the global value of digitally printed signage and graphics is more than $55 billion, and that the market is expected to grow at a 6.5 percent compound annual growth rate between 2012 and 2017. "We discovered that marketers are continuing to spend a substantial portion of their overall budget on wide-format graphics," she said. According to Pellow, "76 percent of consumers have entered a store they never visited before based on its signs, and 68 percent have purchased a product or service because a sign caught their eye."
Rubin Rid Ltd. was one of the early adopters of single-pass aqueous inkjet technologies. In his presentation, Reuveni discussed how his company has expanded its wide-format capabilities to profitability grow its operations. To produce wide-format jobs for clients, Rubin installed a Xerox IJP 2000 wide-format printer. Prior to that press, the company required three devices to create the same output. Because of the speed of the printer, the company has gained new business and was able to produce a job for a key client that involved 100 color posters within one hour.
