Edison Litho Creative Display Exhibit Attracts Industry Leaders at GlobalShop 2013
CHICAGO—May 1, 2013—For more than 50 years, Edison Litho in North Bergen, NJ, has delivered high-quality, cost-effective printing services, temporary displays, in-store décor and signage to national chain retailers and others.
Tradeshows, like the recent GlobalShop Expo, are a key channel for Edison’s sales team to strengthen relationships with clients and meet new prospects. GlobalShop is one of the fastest growing trade shows and the world’s largest annual event for retail design and shopper marketing. At this year’s expo at Chicago’s McCormic Place, nearly 12,000 industry professionals attended.
Each year, Edison’s GlobalShop booth has continued to evolve in creativity and scope. For the 2013 show, Bottom Line developed a new and unique concept for Edison’s exhibit and related marketing campaign for the show.
The centerpiece of the campaign was the “Creative Display Expo” that was built in place on the large island reserved at the show. Rather than stick to a traditional ‘booth” display, an elaborate, custom-built art gallery was erected. The theme was to give tribute to the creative genius of Edison’s retail and marketing partners as well as provide a practical means to showcase the company’s vast and versatile capabilities and success stories.
“Seeing is believing,” explained Joe Ostreicher, Edison Litho’s COO. “By investing in an imaginative and unique booth at these shows, visitors were able to see and touch our printed signage, displays and other materials. We try to showcase work on a wide range of substrates, such as static cling, canvas, polypropylene, vinyl and UV-coated to show off the versatility of our equipment.”
In addition to overseeing the concept and development of the exhibit, Bottom Line developed a creative pre-show marketing blitz, consisting of direct mail and print advertising in trade publications. Post-show marketing is currently underway to support the follow up efforts of Edison’s sales force.
