Government, Higher-ed In-plant Forum Starts Wednesday
On Wednesday, November 14, government and higher-ed in-plant managers will be meeting in Washington, D.C., for the Interquest Digital Printing in Government and Higher Education Forum. Now in its seventh year, the event will be held for the first time in the offices of the U.S Government Printing Office, giving managers a chance to tour the country's largest in-plant.
Free for government and higher-ed professionals, the forum will start at 9:00 a.m. with a keynote presentation by the Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks. Gilles Biscos, president of Interquest, will then present research results and analyze key trends in the publishing, print-on-demand, transactional, graphic arts and in-plant markets.
The forum will also feature a panel of in-plant experts in government and higher-ed explaining how they are leveraging digital printing technology to improve productivity, reduce costs and enhance communication. The panel will include:
- Richard Beto, director of Document Solutions at The University of Texas at Austin.
- Greg Estep and Walter Wingo, GPO's press and binding superintendents.
- Naran Sheladia, supervisor of Print Operations at the Navy Federal Credit Union.
The event is targeted at government and higher education users, including publishing and graphic services, in-plants and CRDs, print and mail services, IT/data center operations, purchasing and procurement departments, and communications professionals, as well as service providers.
