LDS Church, WSU Named Best of Show Winners
At the recent
IPMA awards banquet, two in-plants were named as the winners of this year's In-Print Best of Show awards. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Washington State University won the coveted awards, which honor the printed pieces that demonstrate the highest quality out of all the entries in the In-Print contest.
This year, more than 480 pieces were submitted to the contest, the only national printing contest exclusively for in-plants. It is sponsored by both In-plant Graphics and the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association. On the day of judging, after all the winners had been picked, the judges lined up the Gold winners from the offset and non-offset categories and went over them one more time to pick the overall Best of Show winner.
At the IPMA awards banquet, IPG Editor Bob Neubauer presented two videos that he had shot and edited, each showing the judges going through the process of selecting the Best of Show winners. Attendees were able to see the competition narrowed down to just a few finalists and watch as the judges picked the winners. These videos are now available on IPG's site. Watch them here to see which in-plants were among the finalists.
