QR Codes Going Mainstream in America
A quick scan of the real estate and car ads in the Idaho Statesman will reveal a growing trend in the printing and advertising worlds: QR codes. As you read in IPG last month, QR codes are cropping up in all parts of the country. An article in this week's Statesman details how businesses in Boise are starting to use them.
Templeton and Keller Williams, a real estate agency, used QR codes in last Saturday's edition of the Statesman. And that's just the start; they plan to put them on fliers and on signs so potential buyers can take a virtual tour of a home while standing right in front of it.
Readers will need a smart phone to use the QR codes, though. Once they scan the black and white postage-sized codes with the phone's camera, their browser will open to a video, a Web site, contact information or even directions. Read the full story in the Idaho Statesman here.
