SCREEN, Standard Partner to Produce Expo Keynote Speaker’s Book
Have you struggled to keep your business staffed with high-performing, loyal employees, even for unsexy jobs with high turnover rates? For most everyone in the printing industry, the answer is probably a resounding “Yes!”
This year during PRINTING United Expo, Thursday’s keynote speaker will be Eric Chester, an in-the-trenches workforce researcher and thought leader who’s been studying, analyzing, speaking, and writing about attracting, managing, motivating, and retaining top talent since 2001. Chester has gone behind the curtain to interview thousands of owners, managers, and leaders of companies, organizations, and franchises of all sizes, to shine the light on best practices for attracting, developing — and retaining — amazing employees at all levels, often for jobs that aren’t considered sexy by today’s standards.
As a special collaboration, Standard Finishing Systems (Booth B2532) and SCREEN Americas (Booth B2544) have printed and finished 250 copies of Chester’s book, “Fully Staffed”. He will be signing these live at the Expo immediately following his keynote (approximately 11:15 am) between the Standard Finishing Systems and SCREEN Americas booths on the Expo floor.
The “Fully Staffed” books were finished on a Standard Hunkeler Generation 8 roll-to-stack solution and a Standard Horizon BQ-500 perfect binder + HT-300 three-side trimmer. They were printed on a SCREEN Truepress Jet520NX with ID2 ink on Domtar HuskyJet 50-lb. offset text (body) and Domtar LynxJet 9-pt. vellum (covers).
