Several In-plants Win Gold Ink Awards
The Gold Ink Awards, often called "the industry’s most prestigious print competition," have long been dominated by commercial printers. But this year's winners' list includes a number of familiar in-plant names, including Bloomberg Ink, the State of Tennessee and Communicorp, a subsidiary of Aflac.
Presented by Printing Impressions, IPG's sister publication, the 2017 Gold Ink competition garnered nearly 800 entries. It was open to all creators and producers of printed materials, and encompassed 46 categories within commercial printing, magazines, books, catalogs, digital printing and packaging.
Perhaps most impressive was the Silver award won by Bloomberg Ink for its Bloomberg Tradebook Strategy Analyzer Mailer. This was the very piece that won Best of Show in the In-Print 2017 contest, sponsored by IPG and IPMA.
