Spiral Binding Acquires 'Formidable Competitor'
Spiral Binding Co. has made its fifth acquisition in the last three years by acquiring Hot Springs, AR-based NSC International, a provider of binding, laminating, and printing equipment. NSC International will operate under the Spiral name.
“NSC was a very well-run organization and a formidable competitor,” says Matt Roth, vice president of Spiral Binding, who was impressed with NSC’s high level of customer service. “We look forward to continuing NSC’s legacy of providing spectacular service to their customers.”
This acquisition comes on the heels of a flurry of activity for Spiral over the past few years.
- In July of 2014, the company secured global rights to HP’s Creative Photo Solutions. This includes Pinchbooks and Silver Linings Mounting Frames, among others.
- In July of 2012, Spiral acquired Northeast Binding Systems of Pleasantville, NY.
- It acquired PDP Systems of Austin, TX and ImageBind Systems of Clifton Park, NY in May 2012.
- And in March of 2012, Spiral secured master distributorship for Foliant North America.
Established in 1960, NSC International has been a supplier to the global binding and laminating market. Their product line began with traditional punching and binding systems for plastic comb, plastic coil and double-loop wire. It has since expanded to include wide-format digital printers and supplies to provide on-demand signage and display graphics, both indoors and outdoors.
