Standard Finishing Systems, a leading distributor of print finishing solutions, has announced plans for PRINTING United Expo 2026, the annual event hosted by the PRINTING United Alliance. Standard will host more than 20 individual post-press finishing solutions from their manufacturing partner Horizon International at the show, and each piece of equipment will be production-ready for on-demand, live demonstrations to showcase the power of smart finishing.
Standard will feature Horizon’s newest and most popular solutions at PRINTING United. Highlights will include Horizon’s BQ-300 Perfect Binder, BQ-500 Perfect Binder, StitchLiner Mark IV Saddlestitcher, RD-N4055 Die Cutting System, AFV-566FKT Folder, AFC-746F Pallet-feed Folder, SPF-2000 Bookletmaker, SmartSlitter, and more.
The fully automated Palamides Gamma 502 HO automatic stacker/bander integrated with Horizon’s Mark V saddlestitcher.
Standard will also feature a roll-fed/cut-sheet combination solution, which includes the Hunkeler UW8 Unwinder and CS8 Cutter inline with Horizon’s StitchLiner Mark V Saddlestitcher and HSF-50 High-speed Sheet Feeder. Standard’s newest solution, the Palamides Gamma 502 HO Automatic Stacker/Bander, will be installed at the end of the line to further demonstrate the integration of downstream processes.
Available through Standard as of June 2026, the fully automated Palamides Gamma 502 HO automatic stacker/bander counts and stacks output into pre-set quantities and then presses and jogs the stacks to ensure they are flat and fully aligned. Press strength automatically adjusts to the thickness of the stack, and all jogging mechanisms including side joggers are fully automated – manual intervention during setup is not required. Stacks can then be automatically banded for easy packing or left loose, depending on need. The Palamides can currently be integrated with Horizon’s Mark V Saddlestitcher, Mark IV Saddlestitcher, AFV-566FKT Folder, and AFV-566SF/TV-566SF Folder.
Several Horizon solutions at the show will be connected to iCE LiNK, Horizon’s subscription-based post-press management system that can provide device monitoring, KPI analysis, scheduling and alerts for preventative maintenance, JDF/JMF workflow support, scheduling, job creation, editing, and more. iCE LiNK can also work with most MIS operating systems and interface with non-Horizon finishing systems.
Standard will also be collaborating with printer vendor partners on pre-printed roll-fed and cut-sheet applications that will run live during the show. These demonstration pieces will show the value of pairing Horizon equipment with digital print solutions and highlight the role of finishing in the print production workflow.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers and partners back to our booth for another PRINTING United” says Steve Martinez, director of Sales at Standard. “Each year, we conduct hundreds of live equipment demonstrations over the course of this show, and we expect this year will be no different. Our team is already hard at work preparing to showcase the power of advanced automation in print finishing.”
Standard Finishing Systems will be located at Booth #N5828 at PRINTING United Expo, which will be held September 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to arrange a personalized equipment demonstration at the Standard booth tailored to their unique application requirements at https://www.sdmc.com/printing-united/
