Aid Your Organization's Sustainability Efforts
In his latest blog on the IPG site, Tom Tozier notes that sustainability has become a key indicator in business. If you haven't gotten on the green bus, he notes, you may find yourself left behind by the rest of your organization.
"College-bound students are increasingly interested in sustainability issues," he writes. "In a 2011 Princeton Review survey of 8,200 college applicants, nearly 7 out of 10 said that having information about a school’s commitment to the environment would influence their decision to apply to or attend the school."
To participate in and aid their organization's sustainability efforts, in-plants should create a sustainability practices plan and have a commitment to developing their own sustainable initiatives and goals. Also, he advises, generate tracking reports on your progress and share them with your organization.
