The 25 Largest University In-plants
The December issue of IPG is being printed as we speak at RR Donnelley's Liberty, Mo., plant. As in past years, that issue holds our annual list of the largest in-plants, ranked by both sales and employees.
Though we heard from most of the giants in the in-plant business, several large shops declined to participate. Still, the list makes it clear that there are some very large in-plants out there, a clear sign that their parent organizations see the value of in-house printing.
To whet your appetite for the full report, we put together a list of the top 25* university in-plants, according to the number of employees. To get the final figure, we added half of the number of part-time employees to the full-time count to come up with the figures below.
