The 30 Largest University In-plants

Each year, In-plant Impressions ranks the largest in-plant printing operations according to annual sales and number of employees.

Since university in-plants comprise the bulk of that list, we have created a separate ranking showing how higher-ed in-plants stack up against one another. There have been some ups and downs this year as in-plants reduced staff sizes and lost revenue, but we saw some bright spots as well:

• Four university in-plants generated more than $10 million in sales each.
• Though many have cut their staffs since last year, five reported more employees in 2020 than in 2019.
• Five university in-plants have more than 50 employees.
