The In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) brought its final Road Show of 2025 to Frisco, Texas, on Nov. 13. Hosted by Careington, it drew 18 in-plant attendees from eight organizations for a full day of networking and education. Attendees hailed from the World Bank, the University of Oklahoma, Texas Association of School Boards, Lockheed Martin, Richardson ISD, Garland ISD, CHRISTUS Health, and Careington.
After a welcome from Martin Schneider, vice president of customer communications, and Jeremy Hedrick, COO, Ricoh’s Ken Tucker and Debbie Pavletich took the stage with a presentation on “Innovation Driving Success.” This was followed by a session from Canon’s Bob Barbera on “The Smart Digital Print Room.”
Racami’s Katelin Shanks gave an interesting presentation on “10 Red Flags Every Print Shop Should Catch When Choosing a Software Vendor.” And Jay Kroll of General Formulations rounded up the educational sessions with a presentation titled "More Than Just Paper.”
Attendees had time to visit with 14 vendors, who had displays set up. Then they toured Careington’s Print & Logistics operation, home to four Canon imagePRESS V1000s and a Ricoh Pro C7500 with a fifth color station. The five-employee in-plant prints about 14 million impressions per year, producing items like billing statements, customer communication pieces, member notices, marketing materials, presentations, stationery, business cards, and more.
Though this was the final Road Show of the year planned by IPMA, the association is already planning Road Shows across the country in 2026.
