IPI Launches Podcast, Talks With GPO About Inkjet

In-plant Impressions, together with our sister publications at NAPCO Media LLC, is launching the Impressions Xchange podcast to address all topics impacting the graphic imaging community and printing industry. Hosted by the editors-in-chief of IPI, Printing Impressions, Wide-Format Impressions, and Packaging Impressions, the podcast will provide in-depth news coverage, analysis and timely interviews. Each episode will feature interviews and insights bridging the commercial, packaging, wide-format, and in-plant communities.

In the first episode, available here, IPI Editor Bob Neubauer talks with the Government Publishing Office’s Greg Estep about GPO’s recent installation of six production inkjet presses: five Océ ColorStream 6000s and one Océ VarioPrint i200 cut-sheet inkjet press. Estep covers GPO’s reasons for investing in inkjet, the benefits the new presses are already providing, which federal documents are now being printed with inkjet, how inkjet quality compares with offset, and other topics.
