The In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) is thrilled to announce the IPMA Board of Directors has selected Richard Beto, retired director of Document Solutions at The University of Texas at Austin, to receive an IPMA Outstanding Contributor Award. He will be honored at IPMA’s 2024 Educational Conference and Vendor Fair June 2-6, in Des Moines, Iowa.
“Richard Beto’s contributions to IPMA and the larger print community over the years have been extraordinary,” praised Christopher Donlon, IPMA International President. “Richard's unwavering dedication and passion for our industry and its people will be hard to match. A recent story about Richard included a note about his servant-leader style and that he instructed his team that kids' soccer games and other activities were just as important as the job at hand. The Board proudly honors Richard for all his contributions to our organization.”
“I am honored to be recognized for my 44 years of work and collaboration within the printing community,” said Beto. “During my tenure, so many offered me guidance, inspiration and collaboration and as a result, I took great pride to ensure that my brand included assisting others on their journeys and sharing insights so that someone’s path would be a bit easier. So to be recognized as an Outstanding Contributor for 2024 is truly humbling. Printing has been my life’s work, and I remain committed and hopeful that in-plant managers will always have an IPMA community where we can foster excellence, get assistance and continue to improve.”
